V1-21 Truth or the Teaching of Demons?
Do apostates follow the teachings of demons? Do scoffers? False teachers? False converts? Others? Recalling 2 Timothy 4:2-4, how are Christians to respond? These are just some of the questions to consider in this week’s edition of the Walking Talking Bible Project.

Memory Passage: 1 Timothy 4:1
1 Timothy 4:1
1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons.
Connection Passage #1: James 3:14–17
James 3:14–17
14 But if you harbor bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast in it or deny the truth.
15 Such wisdom does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice.
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peace-loving, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.
Connection Passage #2: Proverbs 3:13–18
Proverbs 3:13–18
13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who acquires understanding,
14 for she is more profitable than silver, and her gain is better than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire compares with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 All her ways are pleasant, and all her paths are peaceful.
18 She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who lay hold of her are blessed.
Connection Passage #3: Jude 17–19
Jude 17–19
17 But you, beloved, remember what was foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ
18 when they said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow after their own ungodly desires.”
19 These are the ones who cause divisions, who are worldly and devoid of the Spirit.
