V1-28 Whose Praise Do We Seek?
What are some theoretical examples of seeking the praise of people vs. seeking the praise of God? Why is it better to seek glory from God? What is circumcision of the heart? Why should it matter to Christians? These are just some of the questions to consider in this week's edition of the Walking Talking Bible Project.

Memory Passage: John 5:44
John 5:44
44 How can you believe if you accept glory from one another, yet do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
Connection Passage #1: 2 Corinthians 2:17
2 Corinthians 2:17
17 For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.
Connection Passage #2: Genesis 17:9–14
Genesis 17:9–14
9 God also said to Abraham, “You must keep My covenant—you and your descendants in the generations after you.
10 This is My covenant with you and your descendants after you, which you are to keep: Every male among you must be circumcised.
11 You are to circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and this will be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.
12 Generation after generation, every male must be circumcised when he is eight days old, including those born in your household and those purchased from a foreigner—even those who are not your offspring.
13 Whether they are born in your household or purchased, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh will be an everlasting covenant.
14 But if any male is not circumcised, he will be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”
Connection Passage #3: Romans 2:28–29
Romans 2:28–29
28 A man is not a Jew because he is one outwardly, nor is circumcision only outward and physical.
29 No, a man is a Jew because he is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise does not come from men, but from God.
Connection Passage #4: John 5:41–42
John 5:41–42
41 I do not accept glory from men,
42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God within you.
