V2-02 Who or What Do We Love?
Why do people love the darkness? In the last days, who will people love? What will they love? How are we told to deal with them? Why might some Christian leaders be afraid to preach hard truths? What does 1 John 1:6 say about obedience? These are just some of the questions to consider in this week's edition of the Walking Talking Bible Project.

Memory Passage: John 3:19
John 3:19
19 And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil.
Connection Passage #1: 2 Timothy 3:1–5
2 Timothy 3:1–5
1 But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,
4 traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!
Connection Passage #2: John 12:42–43
John 12:42–43
42 Nevertheless, many of the leaders believed in Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue.
43 For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
Connection Passage #3: 1 John 1:5–7
1 John 1:5–7
5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6 If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
